did i have alcohole poisening??

sunday night i went round a friends & had a few vodka lime& lemonades i dont normally drink when im just staying in- only when im out and to get drunk...any way before i new it i was really drunk i went to bed without drinking any water and the room was spinning, i had about 6hours sleep then had to get up for work i had the worst headache ever and when i got into work i was sick- now normally when iv got a hangover &im sick im fine afterwards but i just couldnt keep anything down even a sip of water would come straight back up-the headache turned into a migrane which made me more sick! i burst into tears at work after being sick 4 times already and was sent home...stil having to stop to be sick. i stayed in bed for the rest of the day & night, im back at work this morning but still feel a little sick every now & again. could this be alcohole poisening or maybe something worse as iv had hangovers & drank loads more than that before but never have i been ill like that it was horible

I don't think it was alcohol poisoning, because that generally results in a severe case of... well, death. That's usually something that your friends will suspect when you're breathing funny and throwing up, then you just pass out and they can't wake you.

You may have had more drinks before but not all drinks have the same amount of alcohol in them, it sounds to me like you nearly pickled yourself, and you should be more careful to only drink in moderation from now on. My ex husband always had hangovers like that, he'd get drunk Friday night and be useless for the rest of the weekend.

A lesson to take away from this? Don't get smashed on Sunday nights!
