You should use a wall anchor to make certain it is secured to the wall. You should also use hardware that is made specifically for heavy objects. Last, melt a little bit of the wax in the holder. This will help keep the candle firmly in place.

And these days the Elf and Safety people would not allow small people to play with such dangerous items as metal coat hangers and possibly toxic tinsel anyway!

That's why they all have to sit in front of screens playing video games watching the destruction of the world and other life forces.
